Proteins provides sustained energy, so make sure that enough are available. Carbohydrates can lethargic, if the moderates.

When I had my baby 4 years ago, I was a container of fresh fruit and other vegetables in the refrigerator for me to be healthy snacks when I was hungry and tired. He also held a large glass of water and opened with a bowl of nuts in my care. I spent the first 6 weeks down in the chair and feed my son, so it made sense to drink and eat the hand when I was hungry too!

I personally recommend to freeze a couple of lasagna and only pop into the oven for an hour. All pots work for him. In addition to long. You can eat a pot of several days or more.

Here is a link prior to the freezing of many recipes "of foods and meals (without chili, meatball stew, casserole, etc.):

If you include Costco, there are many foods that are quick to pop into the oven without any preparation (with new dishes like their chicken pies, sandwiches, wraps, pasta .... or find the section and frozen food was lasagna, and other frozen meals haven)

So, ask your friends and family to help bring more meals. I have and I would have! Do not be afraid to ask for help. And do not be afraid to take the old advice "sleep when the baby sleeps. It is important that you rest!

Hope this helps! Enjoy your new baby!

Here is an ideal link for more tips on what to do and prepare before the baby comes home. I think it is comparable to the advice I gave:
